Choosing the Right Butane Stove

When choosing a butane stove there are a few important criteria that you will need to consider. First, you will want to consider what type of meals you will be cooking on your butane stove. Butane powered stoves are very efficient but if you will be boiling large amounts of water or cooking meals that will take a long time to prepare you will want to make sure that you have a stove that is large enough to handle that capacity of heavy use. You will also want to make sure that your butane stove accepts refillable bottle. Most butane stoves allow you to bring along extra bottle of fuel that you can attach to your stove so you are never without a fuel source. This is a great option if you are taking an extended camping trip and have a need for multiple bottle of fuel.

You will also want to check on the size and weight of your butane stove. If you will be camping out of the back of your vehicle then you can afford to carry a much heavier butane stove. If you will be back packing then you will want to carry a stove that is much lighter and one that folds down into a very small compartment. When choosing a stove your last consideration should be the price. You do not want to sacrifice quality with your stove but you also want to make sure that you have a butane stove that will meet all of your needs.
